Credit repair requires that you have the right Mind Set
People with bad credit often feel as though they are trapped and have no way out.
Living with bad debt forces you to accept the high cost of living, the high interest rates that
you must pay, and the status of being a second and even a third class citizen.
The harsh reality is that if you have bad credit then the ‘good life’ is not within your reach
until you decide to get angry about living with bad debt!
I believe that the first thing that
anyone should do when they want to
repair their own credit and get out of
debt is to get angry about their
situation.
In other words,
Change your Mind Set!
What do I mean?
Well, when someone wants to get
out of debt, remaining focused on
what it would be like to live with
good credit and not being able too,
should make you angry.
Knowing that the ‘good life’ is beyond your reach because of the bad decisions that you
have made that resulted in your bad credit should put you in the right angry Mind Set to do
something about your bad debt.
Fortunately, there are techniques to prepare you for getting out of debt.
Deciding to begin to repair your credit will also involve getting your spouse to agree to a
credit repair program. If there are teenagers in the picture, your teenager must agree to live
with less.
Getting out of debt will involve doing things that are not within your comfort zone.
The stress of bad debt can definitely lead to some very significant health issues. This alone
should make you realize the importance of getting your credit in order.
Haven’t you had enough of feeling the pain of living with bad debt?
Getting out of debt is all about changing your Mind Set.
However, if you are satisfied with the way things are and you feel your life is just fine the
way it is, then it is very unlikely that you will do anything to change your bad credit situation.
Credit repair may take up to 3, 6 or 12 months before you will see a significant change in
your credit report.
DO NOT make light of this first step in credit repair! If you are not willing to get yourself in
the right Mind Set and do whatever it takes to break the shackles of debt, then no budget
or plan will be effective.
In fact, if you persist in doing the same things that got you knee deep in debt, then your
situation may not remain the same; rather it may only get worse.
The road to breaking the shackles of debt is a tough one. However, as with any journey
worth taking, you must prepare, plan and execute.
With the proper Mind Set and plenty of fortitude, you WILL break the shackles of debt.
Moreover, when you do, you will be able to pursue a healthy credit report and you will
realize a healthy financial future for you and your family.
Remember, today is the beginning of the rest of your life! Make it count!
