Re-age Past Due Accounts
To re-age your account is to ask the creditor to make your debt current by accepting your proposed payment of
your credit arrangement as the first payment on the account without showing any late payments on your credit
report.
Creditors may not agree to re-age your account until after you have made two or three payments. Just make
sure that you receive the credit agreement in writing BEFORE sending any payments.
